Xeranurans (meaning ''dry tailless ones'') are a clade of tetrapods comprising ammanurans (clade Ammanura), webwings (subclass Ptererpetones) and xenotrichates (class Xenotrichata). Xeranurans give birth to live young instead of laying eggs.

The first xeranurans, referred to as "basal xeranurans", resembled scaly frogs and evolved from the semi-aquatic xeranuromorphs about 330 million years ago, in the Lepidonian period. They became viviparous and gave birth to fully-developed young, allowing xeranurans to branch out into drier environments.
