The Volanoforms are a clade of navipods that have evolved a fully terrestrial lifestyle. They are descended from navipod species that have evolved to mate on leaves and branches, and subsequently abandoned eusociality and reverted to being solitary after they have evolved to live on the trees for their entire lives. They have evolved a patagium on their first pair of legs to glide between branches. They have also evolved a second wing from their second pair of legs to control altitude. The volanoforms evolved a skeleton to support their weight, and the ancestral forms fed on insects on the leaves.
