Cold Kansas Desert – 5 million years hence
The diminutive colonial Spinks provide food for various desert creatures, the most specialized being the Tunnelhunter. This descendant of the weasel is no longer than a person’s hand, and is able to track and chase Spinks in their tunnels, often digging their lairs close by so as to provide a constant source of food.
