Order: Chrondicthyes
Family: Deplinidae
Genus: Profundicus
Species: P. goliath

The riveropath, Profundicus goliath, also known as the goliath deephunter or river deephunter, is a large species of fish, despide being not a particularly well-known species of deephunter, as well as the second largest species of deephunter to exist, but is only outsized by the mostly well-known humpback anglerhunter. Unlike most deephunters, which are seen in colors of other well-known species such as the benthic deephunter, the golden deephunter and the extinct sarcastic deephunter, they evolved a blue skin color to live in the freshwater rivers of most speculative worlds (like the rivers of planet Oceania, a planet that is fully covered of water with few land proportions). Their diet is provided of rainbow freshwater anchovies, a species of anchovy that evolved to have rainbow-like colors, as well as living in freshwater unlike their ancestors which live in saltwater. They were also reported to eat the seagrass found on the riverbed. Although most common from freshwater areas, they were also reported to be seen in saltwater. This makes them being a species that can live in both freshwater and saltwater. They may look harmless, but future science discovered that riveropaths contain a somewhat toxic slime layer on the skin, making them a venomous species out there.
