Leopard lynxes evolved from a group of lynxes that spread throughout polar and mountainous areas so soon after Introduction to XD54. They then became Bigger, due to the huge amount Of fat to keep them warm. Also, they developed more spots for camouflage From their prey. primitive Leopard lynxes (snow leopard lynx)lived in polar and mountainous areas. As time passes by, They started spreading Throughout the world, not just cold areas. They formed many species and subspecies roaming the planet.
Descritpion And behaviour[]
Leopard lynxes are mostly solitary, like todays leopard. They mostly stay hidden, often to wait for unsuspecting prey who passes by, and then they will ambush it. Leopard lynxes do have a mating season, and in the mating season males will often start marking their territory with urine or feces. They will often fight to the death of they meet other males. When a leopard lynx cub has been born, the females will usually take care of it. Males will often teach the cub of life, hunting, and how to navigate through the forest.
Extinction[]
Leopard lynxes became extinct in the Late Bafoncene, when a massive asteroid struck the planet. However, pin the early Bafoncene, some leopard lynxes evolved into a Group; cave cats. So the whole species and subspecies of leopard lynxes died out, but their cave relatives survived.
Known species and subspecies[]
- Mountain leopard lynx - A species of leopard lynx with markings similar to snow leopards. They lived across the mountainous areas of Nea. They are the apex predators of Nea. They are largest species of leopard lynxes, reaching the size of a Siberian tiger. Two subspecies are Northern and Southern mountain leopard lynx.
- Clouded leopard lynx - A species of leopard lynx with markings similar to clouded leopards. They are common across the lowlands, forests, prairies and woodlands. There are three subspecies of clouded leopard lynx.
