The crewmate is a eusocial, sapient alien lifeform native to the planet Polus. Crewmates have a distinctive appearence, with a multicolored, round, bumpy body with a similar texture to a velvet-worm's body, a large compound eye on the top middle of the body, and two stubby legs with hoof-like claws on the bottom. Crewmates have a proboscis which they use to lift objects off the ground, most preferabbly tools, and a slit mouth underneath the proboscis. The chief predator of the Crewmate is the Impostor, a relative of the Crewmate with a proboscis armed with a sharp tip at the end.
